Over the past three years, neutral and litigation consultant services work only:
(i) mediator for many and substantial lawsuit and pre-lawsuit matters covering a broad number of subject matter and legal issues, including breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, damages, defamation, default judgment, derivative action, employment, Erisa, fraud & misrepresentation, health care, insurance coverage, legal malpractice, lender liability, maritime, oil & gas, personal injury, product liability, property damage, RICO, securities, quantum meruit, tortious interference, unjust enrichment, wills & estates;
(ii) panel member for mulitiple self-administered and AAA and CPR-governed arbitrations;
(iii) work over the course of two years as special master (under court supervision, responsibilities for scheduling, discovery, and dispositive motion practice) in a substantial insurance coverage lawsuit involving more than forty parties, close to one hundred lawyers, and complex questions of first impression regarding asbestos coverage issues raised by over 9,000 underlying asbestos-related personal injury cases;
(iv) argued as advocate counsel and participated in theme and presentation critiques in mock Texas Supreme Court argument exercises;
(v) witness preparation work; and
(vi) expert witness work regarding legal professional responsibility and attorneys fee issues.
